Welcome to Rhythm N' Fusion Dhol
Located in Abbotsford, British Columbia, the RnF Dhol Club dedicates itself to the art of playing the Dhol, an ancient Indian drum popularly used in dances and celebrations all throughout India. Established in 2001, the RnF Dhol Club has been a leader in the Canadian Dhol industry for six years. They currently teach students, ages 5 and up, how to play Dhol.
Along with teaching students about the art of Dhol, the RnF Dhol Club also does group performances at major Canadian and Indian events, including Bhangra competitions, Canada Day parades, and Vaisakhi celebrations.
Preet Reyat, the founder of the RnF Dhol Club, began Dhol in the United Kingdom in 1998. After moving to Canada in 1999, he began teaching Dhol to students in a local dance studio. He also helped set a Guinness World Record for the most dholis playing together at one time in the Vaisakhi Dhol Mehl. Between 2000 and 2001 Reyat formed Rhythm N'Fusion, (RnF), a Dhol club dedicated to teaching Dhol to students, both young and old.
Since the start of RnF Reyat has also gained notoriety within the Dhol community, participating in numerous Bhangra competitions, charity events, and local community outings. Reyat has also participated in shows in Los Angeles, Seattle, New York, Miami, and the United Kingdom.
Reyat has also played alongside notable Indian celebrities, including B21, Dr. Zeus, Manak-E, RDB, K.S. Makhan, U.K. Asian Music Awards winner Gubi Sandhu, Balkar Sidhu, and other notable Indian celebrities. Reyat was also featured in shows alongside Sukshinder Shida, Jazzy B, Bally Sagoo, Sunny Deol, Darminder, Armaan actress Preety Zhinta, and Akshay Kumar.
Though Reyat still attends university and plans to finish his studies in law, he has already cemented his place in Canada as one of the most notable Dhol players in North America.
